A fifth person has been charged by detectives investigating the alleged fatal stabbing of a teenager in Sydney's west earlier this year.
About 2.50am on Saturday 4 June 2022, emergency services were called to Australis Drive, Ropes Crossing, following reports of a stabbing.
On arrival, officers attached to Mt Druitt Police Area Command found a 16-year-old boy suffering a stab wound.
Officers performed CPR until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived; however, the boy died at the scene.
Detectives, assisted by State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, established Strike Force Bobr to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
So far during the investigation, three teenage boys – two aged 17 and a 16-year-old – as well as a 35-year-old woman, have been charged over their alleged roles in the incident and remain before the courts.
Following further inquiries, strike force detectives arrested a 38-year-old woman at a home in Tregear about 12pm yesterday (Thursday 25 August 2022).
She was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station and charged with accessory after the fact to murder and possess prohibited drug.
The Tregear woman was refused bail to appear before Mount Druitt Local Court today (Friday 26 August 2022).
Inquiries under Strike Force Bobr continue.
