Community members are being given a final opportunity to collect their picket from the former Rippleside Playground, which will be available on two collection dates.
The former wooden playground was constructed in 2001 and, after reaching the end of its life, was removed to make way for the new Rippleside Inclusive Playspace, a Livvi's Place, last year.
Wooden pickets made up the boundary fence carrying the name of the person or family who purchased them following a community fundraising and construction effort.
As the playground was removed, they were retained for people interested in keeping a permanent reminder of the playground.
While people were asked to register during September and October 2024, the City of Greater Geelong is creating one final opportunity for those who missed out during the registration period.
People interested in collecting their picket who missed out on registration are invited to email [email protected]
