The State Government's consultation on WA's new strata management education model is closing soon.
After years of industry consultation and a public feedback period in November 2022, a proposed model focused on raising professional strata management standards is now available for feedback.
What's changing?
The proposed model introduces several key updates:
- Minimum qualification: A Certificate IV in Strata Community Management will become mandatory for professional strata managers.
- New career pathways and redefined roles: The changes aim to provide clearer opportunities for growth and advancement in strata management roles.
- Transition period: Strata managers will have a transitional period from the start of the new regulations (anticipated in 2025) to meet these new requirements.
The consultation period closes on Monday 9 December. To review the proposed changes and submit feedback, visit the Landgate website where the consultation draft of the Lands Regulations (Community and Strata Titles) Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2024 is available.
