Finalists Announced for 2024 Recalibrate Gender Equity Awards

Both influential organisations of all sizes and individuals ranging from CEO's to Employees are in the running to win one of the coveted Gender Equity Awards 2024.

A total of 66 finalists have been selected from almost 200 nominations to compete at the third Gender Equity Awards event – Recalibrate

The program, run by Business in Heels, with the support of WGEA, Life Puzzle, DataDrivesInsight, NAB, The Ascott and Telstra Super; is designed to put a spotlight on organisations and individuals making a difference in accelerating change in the Australian business landscape.

Year after year, the Awards recognises the outstanding contributions, innovation and initiatives - across a wide range of sectors - and the companies furthering diversity and inclusion in the industry.

With an ongoing gender pay gap of 21.7% according to the latest WGEA figures. For every $1 on average a man makes, women earn 78c. Over the course of a year, that difference adds up to $26,393. Representation and support for individuals at key life events remain the focus of many companies.

The finalist list features over 60 high-achieving professionals and businesses across 11 categories.

The Gender Equity Awards – Recalibrate 2024 black-tie gala ceremony will be hosted by Business in Heels on Wednesday, 20th November 2024 at Crown Casino, Melbourne.

This year's new categories include the Best Intersectional Business & Best First Nations Business. There are numerous individuals being recognised from employees to CEO's recognising that everyone has a part to play.

How will the winners be chosen?

Business in Heels has developed a robust awards methodology to select the finalists, with an independent panel of 16 judges who closely follow the WGEA criteria.

To shortlist finalists, all submissions underwent a thorough audit process, provided by KPMG.

The winners will be announced at the black-tie gala ceremony on Wednesday 20th November at Crown Casino , Melbourne.

The night presents an opportunity for those keen to advance Gender Equity to celebrate the achievements of their colleagues, be inspired and network with leaders across Australia.
