Narrandera Shire Council
At its 18 April meeting Council endorsed grants to be made available to local groups, in the 2023/2024 financial year. Following assessment of all the applications submitted against the criteria, the following applications were approved:
- Barellan United Football Club $2,000
- Barellan & District Netball Association $2,000
- Barellan Branch of the CWA $2,000
- Riverina Children's Activity Van (Barellan) $2,000
- Academic awards for TAFE and schools within Narrandera Shire $1,100
In addition, an amount of $9,900 was allocated to the Mayor and General Manager reserve for use during the year.
"Council is pleased to once again be able to provide financial assistance to a range of community organisations throughout the Shire, which in turn promote and encourage opportunities for the community to come together," said Mayor Cr Neville Kschenka.
