Mount Gambier Library is thrilled to host bestselling Australian author Fiona Lowe with her latest release, The Money Club, on Wednesday 24 May at 7:00pm.
Fiona Lowe has been a midwife, a health counsellor, and a family support worker; an ideal career for an author who writes novels about family and relationships.
"Fiona writes books that are authentic to Australians. They feature real people facing difficult choices and explore how family ties and relationships impact their decisions," said Team Leader Library Programs Kristi Brooks.
The Money Club is a gripping exploration of modern greed, a story of wealth, lies, secrets and a get rich quick scheme sending people to financial ruin. Author Fiona Lowe
Izzy Harringon lives with her fiancé Brad, a successful entrepreneur and everyone's friend. She is waiting for Brad to come home so that she can tell him they are over, except Brad never arrives.
Brad's disappearance sends ripples through their small town, and a furious mob camps on Izzy's lawn, desperate to recover their losses. They have Izzy in their crosshairs, determined to make her pay for Brad's audacious con.
As the search intensifies, conflicting clues emerge. Clues suggest no one knew Brad, least of all Izzy.
"The Money Club has just hit the shelves in Australia, North America and the United Kingdom and is already receiving five-star reviews," said Ms Brooks.
This is a free event with supper provided and books available for sale and signing on the night. Contact Mount Gambier Library at 8721 2540 or book your seat online via the Library's website.
