Police are investigating a fire at an electricity substation at Silverton this morning, according to SA Police.
Police and fire crews were alerted to the fire at the substation, located near the intersection of Main South Road and Range West Road, Silverton, about 4.15am on Monday 8 August.
SA Power Network crews are attending the scene to isolate power to allow firefighters access to the hazardous site to fight the fire.
Motorists are advised that Main South Road is closed to all traffic near the site. Restrictions may apply throughout the morning and the public should take an alternate route.
