Firearm, Drug And Vehicle Offences At Toowoomba

Police have charged a 30-year-old man with drug, firearm, and motor vehicle offences after tracking a stolen vehicle to a Toowoomba motel on April 14.

At approximately 9.30pm officers from the Darling Downs District Tactical Crime Squad, executed a search warrant at a Geddes Street property seizing ammunition, 2 grams of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.

Officers conducted a further search of the stolen vehicle where they located a .22 calibre rifle.

Police allege the man stole the vehicle, a white Toyota Hilux, from an Airport Drive address in Roma on March 25, 2025.

A 30-year-old man from Roma has been charged with 11 offences including one count each unlawful possession of weapons, possess utensils or pipes, possessing anything for use in the commission of a crime, possess tainted property, authority required to possess explosives, driving a motor vehicle without a driver license, using or permitting use of vehicle for which a number plate attached given granted for another vehicle and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possessing dangerous drugs.

He is due to reappear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on May 13.
