Firearms stolen during break-in near Penrith, NSW

Police are investigating the theft of four firearms after a break and enter in Sydney’s west this week, NSW Police say.

Sometime between 9pm on Wednesday (20 July 2016 and 5.45am on Thursday (21 July 2016), unknown person/s broke into a house on Leonay Parade, Leonay.

During the break and enter, the gun safe was accessed and its contents were stolen, including four registered firearms.

They include a Longbranch No4 .303 rifle, two Brno .22 rifle, a Diana .117 air rifle and ammunition.

Officers from Penrith Local Area Command attended and recovered the Diana .117 Air rifle.

Inquiries are continuing and police are appealing for anyone who may have any information to c contact Crime Stopers.
