- First-ever overnight accommodation option comes to Kings Park
- Tiny Cabins to be operated by WA-based provider Heyscape
- Cabins to be made available starting at $495 per night with minimum two-night stays
- Trial to run from June 7 to July 28 at the same time as Lightscape
Visitors to Kings Park this winter will have the chance to stay and sleep under the stars as part of a first-ever trial of accommodation within one of Perth's best-known tourist destinations.
The trial will run at the same time as Lightscape, meaning visitors can stay at one of local accommodation provider Heyscape's three Tiny Cabins, which will for the first time ever give visitors the opportunity to sleep overnight in Kings Park.
Guests will have access to a bed, kitchenette, Wi-Fi, and environmentally sustainable bathroom amenities, with Heyscape's eco-friendly cabins using solar panels, composting, and potable water.
The low-impact, light-touch cabins will be available for the duration of Lightscape - which runs from June 7 to July 28 - with prices starting at $495 per night with minimum two-night stays.
Close to 180,000 visitors attended Lightscape last year, with this year's reimagined edition based on a new 'roots' theme, exploring what lays underneath the ground.
Visitors will be welcomed by a new soundscape, as well as the return of Winter Cathedral, a crowd favourite which draws on an array of more than 100,000 twinkling lights.
Lightscape is a partnership between Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority and Sony, with support from the City of Perth and Roy Hill.
Tickets for Lightscape are on sale now via Ticketek, while cabin enquiries can be made via: https://heyscape.com.au/

"I want Western Australia's environment to be as accessible as possible.
"That way, tourists and visitors can experience, learn about, and enjoy what makes our State so special.

Comments attributed to Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti:
"Kings Park has long been one of Western Australia's most popular tourist destinations, and it's exciting that visitors now can stay overnight and wake up in this beautiful park.
"These are the types of attractions that help will take our tourism offerings to the next level and continue attracting millions of people to Kings Park alone each year."
As stated by Perth MLA John Carey:
"Lightscape was an incredible success last year, bringing one of Perth's most iconic venues to life in a way we've never experienced before.
