For the first time in the Northern Territory, an awards ceremony has been held to recognise the important contribution allied health professionals make to the NT.
Winners for the first Northern Territory Allied Health Excellence Awards were announced at a ceremony at Parliament House on Wednesday, 29 November, 2023.
The inaugural awards received 122 nominations across eight categories.
Nominations were submitted by industry peers and stakeholders, including other health professionals, work colleagues, managers and employers.
Award nominations were open to all allied health professionals and allied health assistants or technicians who were employed in the NT at the time of nomination. An exception is the Allied Health Honour Roll award, which accepts nominations for people who have recently retired.
