Road closures will be in place so works can be carried out on the Fischer Street-Centreside Drive intersection in the north of Torquay.
Scheduled to start Monday 14 November, the road reconstruction works are expected to take four weeks. The roundabout's road is in poor condition, as is each of its approaches. The new works will replace the damaged road pavement and make the surface smoother and safer for all road users.
Detours will be in place while the intersection is closed to traffic. People using the route should allow extra travel time.
North-bound traffic on Fischer Street will be redirected at Inshore Drive roundabout towards Marine Drive via Cook Avenue, and then onto Merrijig Drive via Rosser Boulevard.
South-bound traffic on Fischer Street will be redirected at Merrijig Drive to Quay Boulevard and then onto Inshore Drive via Flinders Lane.
Residents within the road closure will still be able to access their properties during the works, while pedestrian access around the site will be maintained at all times.
