Queensland Police have located the body of a 47-year-old Pittsworth man following an extensive search operation in flood waters at North Branch in the Southern Downs.
Initial investigations indicate at approximately 4.20am Monday March 28, the man was swept into flood waters on Clifton Road at a crossing with Spring Creek.
A co-ordinated search operation utilising police, swift water rescue, dive squad officers, drones and the RACQ Lifeflight Rescue helicopter immediately commenced.
At approximately 9.10am today (Tuesday March 29), the man's body was recovered by police dive squad officers.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
