The upcoming New Year's Eve Party in Sturt Park is shaping up to be one of the biggest ever, prompting Council to call for more food vendors.
The event continues to grow in popularity each year, and there is a huge night of fun and entertainment lined up to usher in 2025.
DJ Rocket Rob will be playing tunes from 6.30pm before local band Tha Boiz rock the stage from 8.30pm. The music will be followed by a huge fireworks display from atop the Line Of Lode at 9.15pm.
Kids will be kept well entertained throughout the evening with rides and games including the Pirate Ship, The Cyclone, 9-hole mini golf, bungee trampolines, basketball shooting, soccer shooting, Alien Invasion shooting game, Knockem Down throwing game, and a Sensory Zone for kids to take a break from the excitement.
Outback Thai, Mexican Kitchen, Aus Kustom Gaming, and Carol's Cakes will all be on hand to provide food and drinks, however Council's Community Development Coordinator, Rachel Merton, said more food vendors to complement the huge activity line-up would really round out the event.
"It's all coming together nicely, we just need a few more food options to feed the crowd as we're expecting a big turn out again this year," said Ms Merton.
"It's free to host a food stall and both commercial and community groups are welcome provided they have appropriate insurance and food handling certifications."
