Police have arrested four people after a police car was repeatedly rammed in Springvale early this morning.
An unmarked police car was on patrol when they noticed a vehicle driving erratically shortly before 2am.
They followed the stolen Mazda CX-9 to a dead-end road on Maple Street when it allegedly crashed into the police car numerous times before the occupants abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot.
Luckily uninjured, the officers quickly exited the car and managed to arrest two men nearby.
Patrols of the area soon came across two women who were also taken into custody.
A search of the vicinity was conducted and an imitation firearm was located, alleged to have been dumped by one of the fleeing occupants.
Investigators will interview the four in custody in relation to the incident.
