Four arrested evading police in Melbourne's East

One male and three male youths were arrested evading police in two separate incidents in Melbourne's east earlier this morning.

Officers spotted an allegedly stolen vehicle, travelling outbound on Eastlink near Canterbury Road, Vermont on Tuesday 23 May shortly after 11.30pm.

The police Air Wing took up position overhead and guided ground units to Lancaster Street, Ashburton where the occupants dumped the white Jaguar SUV before talking off on foot.

It's believed that the suspects ordered and got into a DiDi nearby.

The police Air Wing again took up position following the DiDi guiding units to Hammence Street, Glen Waverley where police were successful in arresting four males.

A 20-year-old Rowville man and three youths, aged in their teens are in custody and assisting investigators with their enquiries.
