About 9am yesterday (Friday 30 August 2024), a 57-year-old man reported a black Range Rover Sport stolen from outside a premises on Victoria Road, Rooty Hill.
Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command commenced an investigation in relation to the incident.
About 2am today (Saturday 31 August 2024), police patrolling in Bidwill observed the vehicle on Chestnut Crescent.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle, however when it failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit has continued to Wilkie Crescent, Doonside, before the vehicle crashed into a fence.
Police arrested three men – aged 30, 20 and 19 and a 16-year-old boy.
All four were taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where they were processed by investigators from Strikeforce Sweetenham.
The 30-year-old man was taken to hospital for assessment, he is expected to be released today. He will be charged with carried in conveyance w/o consent of owner and an outstanding warrant will be executed. He will be refused bail and is expected to appear before Parramatta Local Court today Saturday 31 August 2024.
The 20-year-old man was charged with police pursuit drive recklessly, drive conveyance taken w/o consent of owner and never licensed person drive on road. He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today Saturday 31 August 2024.
The 19-year-old man was charged with be carried in conveyance taken w/o consent of owner. He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today Saturday 31 August 2024.
The 16-year-old received a youth caution for be carried in conveyance w/o consent of owner.
