Southern Metro Region Crime Squad have charged four people after an alleged extended follow and carjacking in Frankston yesterday afternoon.
Officers spotted an allegedly stolen car on White Street in Mordialloc and initiated an extended follow about 2pm.
With the assistance of Air Wing, police followed the car to an underground carpark on Cranbourne Road in Frankston.
The group then allegedly dumped the car and got into another stolen vehicle before continuing to drive recklessly throughout the south-eastern suburbs again.
Officers deployed stop sticks along Beach Street in Frankston.
The driver continued on three wheels before returning to the same Cranbourne Road car park.
The offenders then dumped the vehicle before they allegedly dragged a woman out of her car about 5pm.
The 53-year-old Dromana woman was not injured.
Officers deployed tasers as the offenders allegedly attempted to flee in the woman's car.
On their way out of the carpark, the group crashed into a barrier and a police car before dumping the vehicle.
None of the officers were injured.
The alleged driver, a 17-year-old Ivanhoe boy, sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital under police guard.
A 17-year-old Mornington boy sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital under police guard.
The other two passengers were arrested at the scene.
The Mornington boy has been charged with carjacking, theft of motor vehicle, unlawful assault of a female and unlicensed driving.
He has been remanded to appear at a children's court at a later date.
A 16-year-old Seaford boy has been charged with theft of motor vehicle.
He has been remanded to appear at a children's court at a later date.
An 18-year-old Frankston North woman has been charged with carjacking, theft of motor vehicle and unlawful assault of a female.
She has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 13 January.
A 22-year-old Langwarrin man has been charged with possess prohibited weapon.
He has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 17 January.
