Four people were caught drink driving at Circular Head in separate incidents over the weekend.
Between Thursday and Sunday, three men (aged in their 20s and 30s) who were not full licence holders (one was unlicenced, one was a learner driver, and one held a P1 licence) were caught drink driving by Smithton Police. They each received an immediate 12-month licence disqualification and will appear in court at a later date.
A woman, aged in her 40s, had her licence disqualified for three months and was fined $346.
One of the men and the woman were also caught speeding.
Sergeant Lee-Anne Walters from Smithton police said, "It is extremely disappointing that people continue to put themselves and all other road users at risk by thoughtless behaviour."
"All drivers are urged to take care on our roads and be mindful of their own safety as well as that of other road users. Remember, Tasmania Police could be anywhere, anytime."
