At the annual meeting in January, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Board of Trustees elected four new members. The new members will serve athree-year term.

Governing Trustees
Beth Clymer, of Weston, is the chief financial officer of Jobcase, In., a social media community where workers manage their work-life. Prior to joining Jobcase, Clymer spent a decade at Bain Capital Private Equity, focused mainly on high-growth consumer and retail investments including Bob's Discount Furniture, Burlington Stores, and Canada Goose. Prior to joining Bain Capital Private Equity, she was a consultant at the Parthenon Group, a Boston-based business strategy and consulting firm now owned by accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP.
Clymer holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and a BSE in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University. She and her husband are parents of two spirited daughters and are active philanthropists in the Boston area and beyond.
Karen Hale of Boston, is co-founder and Executive Director of Fox Rock Foundation, established to inspire health in our communities and our environment, with more opportunity for all.
Fox Rock Foundation supports a wide variety of organizations within four principal areas of giving: education, health & wellbeing, conservation, and equality. The Foundation's current focus is a series of grant partnerships with small and mid-sized nonprofits making a difference on a variety of causes in New England and beyond.
Hale, alongside her husband Rob, also support a wide range of philanthropic initiatives through Granite Telecommunications, Granite Gives Back, FoxRock Cares, and other personal giving.
The Hale family has pledged or donated more than $300 million to a broad range of causes.
Hale serves on the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's Board of Directors and is a trustee of Brigham and Women's Hospital, where she also serves on their Cancer Advisory Board, Women's Health Advisory Board, and Committee for Diversity, Inclusion, Health Equity, and Community Health. She is a member of Boston Children's Hospital Trust Board. She is a former board director of the South Shore YMCA and a past trustee and board president of Old Colony Montessori. Hale received her bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado.
Gary Prado of Dedham, is senior legal counsel at Fidelity Investments, where he serves as chief counsel to Fidelity's private equity/venture capital business, Devonshire Investors. Prior to Fidelity, Prado was an associate at Ropes & Gray, practicing in its private equity transactions group, where he represented private equity firms and public and private companies in leveraged buyouts, direct investments, and other strategic transactions. Before that, he clerked for Chief Justice Paul A. Suttell of the Supreme Court of Rhode Island and Judge Joseph A. Greenaway, Jr., of the Third Circuit Court of Federal Appeals.
Prado and his wife, Darlene, are committed to effecting change and driving impact in Boston. They founded The Prado Family Impact Fund to support underprivileged communities of color in the areas of healthcare and education, which established The Prado Impact Fund at Dana-Farber in honor of their mothers, Gisela Herrera and Minerva Tejeda, and are active supporters of many organizations that provide opportunities and resources to underprivileged children and families in Boston, such as The BASE, The Friends of Hernández School, The Conservatory Lab Charter School, The Boys & Girls Club Boston, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Epiphany School, and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
Prado serves on the boards of the Conservatory Lab Charter School, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, The Friends of the Rafael Hernandez School and the Pipeline to Practice Foundation.
Trustee
David Gross-Loh of Cambridge, is Partner and Managing Partner, Asia Region, Bain Capital LLC. Gross-Loh joined Bain Capital in 2000. He is a founding member of Bain Capital's Asia business- comprising Private Equity, Credit/Special Situations, and Life Science and Venture investments--which he now heads serving as Managing Partner. Gross-Loh started and managed the Tokyo office in 2006 and previously worked in the Boston and New York offices. Gross-Loh is a member of the Partnership Committee and Operating Committee at Bain Capital.
Prior to Bain Capital, Gross-Loh was a consultant with Bain & Company from 1998-2000 and worked with NEC Corporation in Tokyo from 1992 to 1996.
Gross-Loh received an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar and a BS from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Gross-Loh serves on the Board of several companies including Kioxia (formerly Toshiba Memory) and Japan Wind Development. He serves on several non-profit Boards including the Berklee College of Music, Boston Children's Hospital Trust Board, University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Sciences Board of Overseers, and the Center for the Advanced Study of India. He is also a Board member of Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio S.p.A.
