Four people have been charged following a two-night blitz targeting domestic violence and drug supply offences.
On Friday 2 August 2024 and Saturday 3 August 2024, officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Proactive Crime Team with the assistance of detectives, Region Enforcement Squad South and High Visibility Policing Unit conducted the operation in the eastern suburbs area.
Police carried out 39 apprehended domestic violence order compliance checks, 25 bail compliance checks, 18 person searches, five vehicle searches, 18 random breath tests, 12 drug detections and issued six move-on directions.
Police seized 40 grams of cocaine, seven grams of MDMA, 308 grams of cannabis leaf, 72 grams of cannabis 'gummies' and $14,590 in cash suspected of being the proceeds of crime.
About 7.40pm on Friday, police arrested a 23-year-old man in Denham Street, Bondi, allegedly in possession of 308 grams of cannabis leaf, 72 grams of cannabis 'gummies' and $2840 cash believed to be the proceeds of crime. He was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime. The man will appear before Waverley Local Court on Tuesday 10 September 2024.
About 8.45pm on Friday, a 19-year-old man on Castlefield Street, Bondi, was allegedly found in possession of eight grams of cocaine and $7900 cash suspected of being the proceeds of crime. He was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime. The man will appear before Waverley Local Court on Tuesday 10 September 2024.
About 10pm on Saturday, police arrested a 34-year-old man on Hall Street, Bondi Beach, after he was allegedly found with 12 grams of cocaine, seven grams of MDMA and $2500 cash suspected of being the proceeds of crime. He was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime. The man will appear before Waverley Local Court on Tuesday 17 September 2024.
About 12.50am on Sunday, police arrested a 21-year-old man on Hall Street, Bondi Beach, after he was allegedly found in possession with seven grams of cocaine and $1300 cash suspected of being the proceeds of crime. He was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime. The man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Sunday where he was granted bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on Thursday 8 August 2024.
