Police have charged a 35-year-old woman with 98 offences alleged to have been committed over a four-year period.
Between June and July 2021, and December 2024 it is alleged the woman falsely claimed refunds for items she did not purchase at supermarkets across Toowoomba, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast areas.
It is alleged on each occasion the woman would enter a store collect items from shelves that had been previously purchased and use the receipt to claim a refund from the front counter.
It is further alleged the woman was also found to be driving a vehicle that had been stolen from a Geebung property on February 27.
Then on March 7, 2025 the woman allegedly stole items from a store on Cunningham Street in Dalby.
On March 8 the woman was seen travelling in a vehicle along Cunningham Street in Dalby however when officers attempted to intercept the vehicle the driver failed to stop.
On March 14 it is alleged the woman stole items from a supermarket on Condamine Street in Dalby, and then on March 16 allegedly stole items from a sporting goods store on Cunningham Street in Dalby before police intercepted her vehicle at a nearby service station.
A subsequent search allegedly located a stolen Queensland Drivers license, and three credit cards.
The Beenleigh woman has been charged with 88 counts of fraud, three counts of stealing, four counts of possession of stolen property, two counts of unlicensed driving, and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and evade police.
She is due to appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on April 15.
