Winter is coming! But before you reach for the heaters and brace yourself for the bills - reach for the phone instead and speak FOR FREE to an energy expert about options that are good for your home and our environment.
Until the end of June, all Coffs Harbour area residents can take advantage of a FREE energy advice session thanks to a partnership between Coffs Harbour City Council and the Australian Energy Foundation, Australia's leading energy organisation.
Coffs Harbour local Neil Sutton said: "I'm going to use my free session to see what further efficiencies I can put in place to save on electricity to save money and to do something to help the environment. Hopefully that will make our home warmer in winter, as well as make my retirement funds go further."
The Pearson family from Boambee East said they were going to use their free session to gain a better understanding of how they can save money on their electricity bills and possibly solar power. "Our time is limited, so it will make life easier to be able to get this information direct from the experts, rather than having to spend hours trawling the internet."
Council understands that lots of residents are interested in saving money on home power and exploring new energy solutions. The free advice is a great opportunity for residents to get advice on managing their electricity bills, making their homes warmer, choosing or switching energy retailers, solar options and battery storage, buying new appliances with lower long-term running costs - and for renovators or home-builders looking to make their home sustainable and grid positive.

The Australian Energy Foundation has supported 27,000 households with energy advice and abated 372,000 tonnes of emissions since their launch in 2013.
