Free Jazz Afternoons Swing Into Yagan Square This October

Yagan Square will be transformed this Sunday with Jazz in the Square, a free, family-friendly event as part of the Perth International Jazz Festival.

Starting midday until 5pm, this event will host some of Western Australia's best talent including the WA Academy of Performing Arts' Django Ensemble and New Standards Ensemble, the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra (WAYJO) with Zero Emcee, and the Steve Hensby Band.

In addition to the stellar line-up of classic jazz, gypsy jazz, modern standards, hip-hop, funk, ska, and folk performers, attendees can enjoy delicious offerings from Yagan Square's diverse bars and restaurants, including The Shoe, Gangnam Korean BBQ, Hiss and Smoke Japanese, Street Eats, and a plethora of options at the newly opened Stories.
