Take a "fresh" look at one of Wagga Wagga's favourite cultural events.
The Fresh program creatively combines Seniors Festival and Youth Week celebrations into a month-long program of talks, workshops and events for people of all ages and backgrounds.
In April 2019 there will be even more ways to explore and experience this fun, diverse and engaging program, presented by Wagga Wagga City Council.
"Wagga Wagga is a diverse community and the concept behind Fresh is to bring people of different ages, backgrounds and cultures together," Council's Director Community Janice Summerhayes said.
"There really is something for everyone at Fresh and this year's program is bursting with highlights ranging from music to religion, politics and more.
"More than 3700 people of all ages and backgrounds took part in Fresh 2018, with the broad variety of activities and focus on inclusion part of its success."
The Fresh 2019 program is a mix of keynote speakers and headline events, along with a variety of workshops, tours, activities and more by local community groups, businesses and artists.
Ms Summerhayes said the mix of Seniors Festival, Youth Week and new events brings the community together whether you're young, old or in-between.
"Fresh is a fantastic opportunity for residents to learn something new or experience something different," Ms Summerhayes said.
Pick up a hard copy of the Fresh program from the Visitor Information Centre, Wagga City Library, Wagga Art Gallery, Museum of the Riverina and Civic Theatre. A Re-Fresh program with events hand-picked for over 70s by the Senior Citizens Club of Wagga Wagga is also available.

Fresh 2019 program highlights
- Her Sound, Her Story: A music documentary featuring conversations with 45 female artists across six decades of Australian music.
- Songwriting workshops: Award-winning songwriter Alexander Gow – who graced the stage at Fusion18 with his band Oh Mercy, will share his go-to tools to create music.
- Father Rod Bower: His thought-provoking billboards at the Gosford Anglican Church have made national headlines and in this TED-style talk, the Archdeacon of the Central Coast will tackle how to create a world that's inclusive and respectful of everyone.
- Ping Pong WoW: See what happens when community halls at Uranquinty and Ladysmith are transformed with 2000-plus ping pong balls and more in this interactive creative play installation for kids and grown-ups alike.
- Cultivating Good Gut Health workshops: Head chef at Magpies Nest Chris Whyte will teach you all-things fermenting including kimchi, kefir and olive pickling.
- French for Travellers: The Alliance Française De Wagga Wagga will deliver a crash course to learn the essentials of the French language.
- Wine Appreciation: Award-wining Charles Sturt University winemaker Campbell Meeks will guide you through a tasting focusing on regions, techniques and varieties held after hours in the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery.
