In another blow to the media landscape, Māori TV's daily news service is set to end after 20 years, following the announcement that they have cut 27 jobs. PSA members at MBIE have voted to initiate industrial action, after rejecting a pay offer because it failed to keep up with the cost of living. Meanwhile at the Ministry of the Environment, the CEO has warned MPs that funding and staff cuts will mean it may struggle to enact the Government's proposed RMA reforms. A new report has found that four out of five homeless women in Aotearoa are Māori.
