Further Charge Under Strike Force Dribs

Thirty-three people have now been charged following an extensive investigation into a riot outside a church in Sydney's southwest in April this year.

Strike Force Dribs was established to investigate the large-scale public order incident which occurred in Wakeley on Monday 15 April 2024.

About 6.30am this morning (Tuesday 25 June 2024), police executed a search warrant at a premises in Gregory Street, Fairfield West.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Fairfield Police Station where he was charged with riot and destroy/damage property during public disorder.

He was refused bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court today (Monday 25 June 2024.

Police will allege in court the man threw a rock at a police vehicle during the riot.

Inquiries under Strike Force Dribs are ongoing and further arrests are anticipated.
