Further Two Charged After Dandenong Armed Robbery

Armed Crime Squad detectives have today charged an additional two people following an armed robbery with a shot fired in Dandenong in April.

Two men from Doveton, aged 22 and 27, were arrested by police at their home address this morning and have subsequently been charged with armed robbery and assault related offences.

They will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court this afternoon.

Today's charges follow an incident on Friday, 12 April when a 32-year-old man was walking along Scott Street around 5.30am when a shot was fired into the air from a vehicle, before he was assaulted by two people.

He was conveyed to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

A 30-year-old Burwood man was charged on 13 April with armed robbery, prohibited person possess firearm, prohibited person use firearm, intentionally cause serious injury and recklessly cause serious injury.

A 29-year-old Burwood woman was also charged with armed robbery, intentionally cause serious injury and recklessly cause serious injury.

The duo will next appear at 8 August.
