Future of AI and Arts Showcased at AI for Good Global Summit

ITU

ITU's AI for Good Global Summit, taking place 6-7 July, will feature artists collaborating with artificial intelligence to push the boundaries of artistic expression.

The AI for Good Global Summit brings United Nations organizations together with governments, industry leaders, tech visionaries and innovators to focus on how AI technologies can support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Generative AI and human-machine collaboration will be key themes amid the release of tools that are changing the way we think about creativity and productivity.

Artistic performances and exhibits at the event will merge technology and artistry, raising key questions about human-machine collaboration and AI's role in the future of creativity:

  • How can artists harness AI to extend creative boundaries?
  • How does human-machine interaction transform the artistic process?
  • What are the implications of AI-generated art for intellectual property rights?

Confirmed AI artists, musicians, technologists, and artistic robots taking part in the event include:

  • Harry Yeff (REEPS100) - Voice artist and technologist celebrated as a leader in a new wave of voice, technology and AI experimentation
  • Jojo Mayer - Acclaimed drummer to perform a real-time improvisation with AI

AI for Good connects AI innovators with public and private-sector decision-makers to promote AI solutions capable of supporting sustainable development. This year's event will also host crucial discussions on the guardrails needed for safe and responsible AI and the potential development of global AI governance frameworks.

Participation in the AI for Good Global Summit is free of charge and open to everyone. Capacity is limited and early registration is encouraged.
