Works are underway to help future-proof Nuriootpa Swimming Pool in the lead-up to the summer swim season.
The upgrades include sandblasting and repainting the pool shell to safeguard it for another seven years.
Nuriootpa Pool working group spokesperson Tracey Scholz says it's important the project is done thoroughly to extend the life of the pool.
This will ultimately ensure greater access to the pool for more years to come, which is what our community has been asking for.
While recent wet weather has caused some delays, the pool is expected to re-open to coincide with the scheduled opening of Williamstown Pool on 1 December, subject to fine weather conditions.
We'll continue to provide further updates in the lead-up to the outdoor swim season.
