Police are investigating after a garage fire at a home in Sydney’s west last night, NSW Police say.
About 11.15pm today, emergency services were called to a home on Stanley Street, St Marys, following reports of a garage well alight.
Fire & Rescue NSW officers extinguished the blaze; however, the garage and laundry were damaged.
The two occupants, an 83 year-old man and 77-year-old woman, escaped uninjured.
A man and woman residing in a granny flat at the back of the property also evacuated and were not injured.
Officers from St Marys Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
