Bayside Council is rolling out Garden Organics services to ensure that all properties in the Local Government Area have access to a green-lidded bin by 30 September 2024.
Properties in Arncliffe, Banksia, Bardwell Valley, Bardwell Park, Bexley, Bexley North, Brighton Le Sands, Carlton, Dolls Point, Kingsgrove, Kogarah, Kyeemagh, Monterey, Ramsgate, Ramsgate Beach, Rockdale, Sandringham, Sans Souci, Turrella and Wolli Creek, will receive a new green-lidded bin.
The green-lidded bins will be delivered to homes in the above suburbs between 17 August 2024 and 27 September 2024.
This will ensure a Garden Organics service is available to all residents in Bayside, as the remaining suburbs already have a green-lidded bin. There will be no changes to residents' current waste services.
This project is supported by the Environmental Trust as part of the NSW Environment Protection Authority's Waste Less, Recycle More initiative funded from the waste levy.
Bayside Mayor Saravinovski said:
"It's great to be able to provide the entire LGA with a Garden Organics Service to allow more sustainable waste behaviours in our community," Mayor Bill Saravinovski said.
