Gawler Supermarket Incident

A man has been arrested following an incident at a Gawler supermarket this morning.

About 9.20am on Sunday 15 December, police responded to reports of a man in possession of a knife at a Reid Street supermarket in Gawler.

Staff and customers were able to safely evacuate the building. Police arrived a short time later and arrested the man without incident.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

The 50-year-old man of no fixed address was conveyed to hospital where he is undergoing a medical assessment.
