On October 14, the 3rd Meeting of the GCOS Surface Climate Reference Network (GSRN) Task Team opened in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. Over 40 domestic and foreign experts from World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), and related departments and institutes of higher education converge to discuss the progresses of GSRN and consult on its future development.
GSRN is an important component of the WMO Integrated Global Observing System (WIGOS) and will play an important role in global climate change monitoring.
