The Geelong Authority has reappointed Ms Diana Taylor as Chair for a further three-year term.
Ms Taylor − an authority member since 2017 − was initially appointed to the position in February 2021 and has a wealth of diverse knowledge and professional skills, including more than 20 years' experience as a lawyer, consultant, business owner and director.
New members − Mr Steve Thorne and Dr Sarah Leach − will bring skills in urban design, health industry and executive leadership. They will join existing members Mr Mark Edmonds, Mr Rory Costello, Ms Jill Smith and Mr Aamir Qutub who have been reappointed for the further term.
The Geelong Authority was established in 2015 to advise the Minister for Planning on strategies to attract investment to central Geelong and on major planning decisions to create jobs and drive growth in Geelong.

The landmark Geelong City Deal, with the Australian Government, Andrews Labor Government and City of Greater Geelong, is now also delivering $500 million in government investment to Geelong and the broader region.
The Geelong Authority's new three-year term commenced on 1 December 2021. For more information about the authority, visit revitalisingcentralgeelong.vic.gov.au/about-us/geelong-authority.
