Greater Geelong will pay tribute to the life of Dame Olivia Newton-John AC DBE this Sunday 26 February by lighting up City Hall in pink from 8.30pm.
The Australian-British singer, actor and activist, who passed away on 8 August last year, is being farewelled at a free, ticketed State Memorial Service at Melbourne's Hamer Hall on Sunday from 4pm.
The City has engaged local Projection Artist Matt Bonner to turn City Hall's façade on Gheringhap Street bright pink, displaying Dame Newton-John's name and dates of birth and death to commemorate and acknowledge her life achievements.
The colour pink is used to raise awareness of breast and gynaecological cancers.
Our catenary lights at the intersection of Malop and Moorabool Streets, Little Malop Central festoons, Central Geelong and Waterfront smart pole beacon lights and Waterfront palm tree lights will also turn pink.
