Georges River Council is holding a free E-Waste Drop Off event as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable waste management and resource recovery principles.
The event will allow for residents in the Georges River Council area to drop off their unwanted electronic waste for free on Sunday 11 May 2025.
Accepted items include televisions, computers and computer accessories, phones, small appliances and more. There will also be additional non-E-Waste items accepted for recycling including flat packed cardboard, expanded polystyrene and hard plastics.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, "Council is dedicated to protecting our environment by ensuring that E-Waste is disposed of responsibly and effectively.
"I encourage our local residents to participate in our free E-Waste Drop Off event as an easy way for everyone to contribute to a cleaner, greener future for our community."
Residents will be able to bring their E-Waste to the Mortdale Depot between 9am and 3.30pm at 100 Roberts Avenue, Mortdale. The event is popular, which is testament to the community's efforts and commitment to reducing waste to landfill.
The community should be patient on the day, especially during the morning peak times for the event. Access to Mortdale Depot is from Depot Road, and the community should follow the directions of Traffic Controllers when accessing the site.
Please note that no items will be accepted at the depot prior to the date and time listed. Placing items on public land without permission is considered Illegal Dumping and can attract significant fines.
