Georges River Funds New Carss Park Aquatic Center

Georges River Council

Georges River Council has outlined plans to contribute $10 million over three years towards the reconstruction of the Carss Park Aquatic Facility, in partnership with the NSW Government.

A funding cap of $17.5 million has been established, covering previous costs for demolition, remediation, and planning. Council remains dedicated to delivering this important community project while maintaining financial sustainability.

Strategies presented at the Council Meeting on Monday 25 November 2024 ensure the funding plan aligns with Council's long-term financial goals.

Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said: "This is an important milestone in Council's journey towards delivering a new aquatic facility for the Georges River community.

"Council is fully committed to advancing the project and we look forward to collaborating with the NSW Government on this initiative."
