Germany Boosts UNDP Investments to Address Development Issues

New York-The Government of Germany has made a significant contribution of EUR 90 million (USD 98 million) to UNDP's regular resources for 2024, almost a 10% increase from 2023. This substantial investment is a testament to Germany's steadfast commitment to UNDP's mission and reflects our shared values and common priorities such as stabilization, conflict prevention, and early recovery.

The contribution will help bolster UNDP's efforts to prevent crises and conflicts, sustain peace, protect human rights, and address the root causes of fragility. UNDP deeply appreciates its partnership with Germany and looks forward to continued support and collaboration in advocating for accelerated action at pivotal moments in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including in the context of the upcoming Hamburg Sustainability Conference (HSC). In partnership with Germany and others, UNDP aims for transformative impact and a more equitable and prosperous world where no one is left behind.

Core resources from Germany and other partners form the foundation for UNDP's operations and enable the organization to deliver impactful initiatives and programmes globally, effectively, and transparently. UNDP is consistently ranked among the most transparent international organizations.
