Kiama Council has improved pedestrian access across the Crooked River at Gerroa with new footpaths at the Crooked River Bridge and the nearby foot bridge leading to Seven Mile Beach.
Council has built an 87 metre footpath on the southern end of the Crooked River Bridge linking to the pedestrian underpass at the Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park.
This will assist those wanting to safely cross this often busy section of road.
We have also installed a 132 metre footpath between Emery Reserve to the foot bridge over the Crooked River.
This will allow people enjoying the northern end of Seven Mile Beach to more easily reach the public amenities at Emery Reserve.
These projects are part of our capital works program for 2021/22.
Extra funding was also provided by the Australian Government through its Local Roads Community Infrastructure Program.
