Rockhampton Zoo is offering wild and wonderful Christmas gift ideas – with each animal encounter and experience now available as a gift voucher.
Parks, Sports and Public Spaces Councillor Cherie Rutherford said it's the ultimate and unique gift idea.
"Gift vouchers are something zoo-goers have been asking for and we're thrilled to make these available," Cr Rutherford said.
"Experiences make for a great gift idea, and what better experience for your loved ones than to get up close with some of our extraordinary animals.
"From meerkats to snakes, otters, and an exclusive Junior Zookeeper experience, there's something for everyone.
"Each of the encounters provide hands on interaction with the animals and a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes at Rockhampton Zoo.
"Participants get a much closer look at the animals, their feeding and their personalities - it's an unforgettable experience and something your loved ones will cherish for years to come."
Cr Rutherford said it's also a gift that keeps on giving – with 15 per cent of the proceeds going directly to wildlife conservation.
