Multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) crews are on scene at a bushfire burning north of Glenbar Tiaro Road, to the east of Akuna Road, Glenbar. Crews are working to contain the fire within fire breaks and existing tracks. Crews will be backburning throughout the day and into the evening to fully contain the fire. There are currently no properties under threat. Smoke is affecting the area, so residents should close windows and doors and keep medications close by if suffering from a respiratory condition. Smoke can decrease visibility, so motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. Residents should dial Triple Zero (000) immediately if they believe their property is under threat.
