Glenorchy Police dealt with a number of people during a high visibility operation in the northern suburbs yesterday aimed at detecting and deterring anti-social behaviour.
"The northern suburbs community would have seen a large police presence in the Glenorchy, Moonah and Claremont CBDs yesterday afternoon as police conducted a high visibility operation targeted at detecting and deterring anti-social behaviour," said Acting Inspector Jason Klug of Glenorchy Police.
"Police from Operations Saturate, Glenorchy Station and the Dog Handler's Unit, patrolled from 2-7pm and dealt with a number of people."
In the operation:
- 4x people were arrested.
- 2x people were issued summonses.
- 1x infringement notice was issued.
- 2x youth diversions was issued.
- 7x people were issued a formal direction to leave the area.
- 12x drug detections were made.
- 3x cautions were issued for alcohol offences.
"Glenorchy Police are committed to making public spaces safer and protecting the community and local businesses from anti-social behaviour and crime."

Anti-social behaviour and crime can be reported to police on 131 444 or Triple Zero (000) in an emergency.
