Sport Integrity Australia's Head of International Relations, Strategic Policy and Intelligence, Darren Mullaly, attended the International Anti-Doping Arrangement (IADA) meeting in Paris earlier this week on Australia's behalf.
The IADA facilitates the harmonisation of high quality domestic anti-doping programs of the participating governments and National Anti-Doping Organisations.
By working together through continuous improvement and good practices, Mr Mullaly said IADA intends to positively influence the international sporting community.
"Working closely with other Governments and National Anti-Doping Organisations is a fundamental element of Australia's international anti-doping obligations," he said. "We cannot create a better and more efficient anti-doping system for athletes unless we unite and openly share our experiences and learn from each other."
Countries to the agreement that attended the 2023 meeting are Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. South Africa attended the meeting as an observer.
