The upcoming UNEP-IETC Global Dialogue & Youth Day: Circular Economy Model of Waste Management is a high-level biennial conference, organized by the United Nations Environment Programmes International Environmental Technology Centre (UNEP-IETC). It will bring together key stakeholders, including policymakers, private sector leaders, academia, civil society, and youth leaders to discuss the circular economy model of waste management.
UNEP Global Dialogue: 17th 18th February 2025
The Global Dialogue aims to foster insightful discussions and actionable strategies to advance circular waste management practices. With a strong focus on transformative circular economy models, the event will begin with opening remarks from UNEP leadership and key partners.

-Advancing Circularity in Waste Management: Exploring best practices and frameworks for a circular approach to waste reduction and resource recovery.
-Integrating the Informal Sector and Gender Mainstreaming: Addressing the vital role of informal waste workers and promoting inclusive, gender-responsive policies.
-Strengthening Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR): Unlocking collaborative solutions to enhance waste management systems.
-Innovative Policy Frameworks: Designing strategies for sustainable waste management at local, national, and global levels.

Youth Day: 19th February 2025
Co-organized with Children and Youth Major Group to UNEP youth leadership will take center stage on the third day of the event. Recognizing the critical role of younger generations in driving sustainable development, Youth Day will provide a vibrant platform for engagement, idea exchange, and solution co-creation.
