On Saturday, 15 March, the Pakenham Show became a vibrant hub of energy and excitement as BMX riders, skaters, and scooter enthusiasts gathered for a thrilling day of friendly competition.
Hosted by the Cardinia Shire Council Youth Services team in partnership with Shredability, the Skate, Scoot, and BMX competition delivered an exhilarating event for participants and spectators.
Competitors of all ages and skill levels showcased their best tricks, with the competition drawing a large crowd of spectators eager to witness the adrenaline-pumping action. Scooter riders kicked off the event at 11am, followed by BMX and skateboard enthusiasts, resulting in a spectacular display of talent throughout the day.
The event provided a fantastic opportunity for the community to unite and celebrate their passion for riding. Participants stepped up to challenge themselves, with many making new friends and connections through their shared love for action sports.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jack Kowarzik praised the successful event and commended the talented riders. "We are thrilled with the turnout and the level of talent displayed by all participants," said Mayor Kowarzik. "It was fantastic to see our local talent come together in such a positive and supportive environment. It was awesome to see everyone showing off their skills and community spirit."
