Jazz fans can enjoy a nostalgic musical trip through a contemporary lens when Goddesses of Jazz pirouettes into the spotlight at Drysdale's Potato Shed.
The performance is a celebration of the women who made our collective spirits soar when they sang.
Jennifer Vuletic and Ruth Katerelos join forces with concert pianist Graham Clark to take a spin around some songs made sensational over the decades by the likes of Nina Simone, Judy Garland, Piaf, Billie Holiday, Madeleine Peyroux, Dusty Springfield, Peggy Lee and more.
Goddesses of Jazz will be performed on Saturday 14 October at 8:00pm.
Tickets can be obtained by visiting the event page.
Mayor Trent Sullivan
I'm delighted to welcome the high-energy act featuring two experienced and well-credentialled stage performers.
Jennifer and Ruth are coming to the Potato Shed from sell-out shows at the Butterfly Club and Chapel off Chapel in Melbourne.
Goddesses of Jazz has a reputation for captivating the audience with its songs and stories of life, love, and connection.
We're really fortunate to have a performance space that continues to attract high-quality acts and I encourage everyone to come to Drysdale and experience this level of entertainment for themselves.
Ruth Katerelos
I'm excited to be joining Jennifer in presenting this show as we make our maiden appearance in Drysdale.
We're very much looking forward to visiting the Potato Shed as a new experience.
We sing songs from really gusty artists who left a huge impact on the music industry.
The audience response to this show - where we tell stories about the songs and the artists, along with our experiences of the songs - has been fantastic.
