Gold Coast Hosts Beloved Christmas Celebration

Elves with kids at Christmas at Broadbeach

Christmas cheer is spreading all over the Gold Coast this year with preparations underway for the City's four festive annual events.

From the carols at Coomera, Surfers Paradise and Coolangatta to the interactive Christmas display at Broadbeach there will be an event nearby to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, each with their own unique spin.

"The City is spreading Christmas cheer this festive season with a choice of free events that will bring the whole family together," Mayor Tom Tate said.

"Santa Claus is coming to town and he wants all Gold Coasters to join him and sing along to our favourite Christmas carols.

"There is no shortage of events to get into the Christmas spirit with singing, dancing, family entertainment and of course the chance for the kids to meet the big man in red."

Cooly Carols

There will be Auslan interpreters on stage to ensure an accessible and welcoming experience for everyone attending.

The night will conclude with a sparkling fireworks finale.

Santa has his parachute packed, and guests are encouraged to make their journey active and walk, ride, scoot or skate to the event.

The Cooly Carols is presented by City of Gold Coast and supported by Twin Towns Clubs & Resorts, Coolangatta Surf Club and 92.5 Triple M.
