Gold Coast seniors twist and shout to sensational 60s and 70s

Gold Coast's young at heart can shake their tail feather at the annual Mayor's Seniors Week Concerts at HOTA (Home of the Arts) on Thursday 22 August.

This year's theme celebrates the sensational 60s and 70s, with tracks from The Beatles, ABBA, Elvis Presley, The Bee Gees and more guaranteed to get patrons grooving.

Mayor Tom Tate said there are approximately 350 tickets still available.

"Tickets are going like hotcakes, so make sure to snap up yours from HOTA before they all go.

"Get dressed up in your best 60s and 70s gear and make a day of it. I'm always told by attendees what a highlight the show is and I'm sure this year will be no different.

"Our seniors have done so much for our community and this is our way of giving back," said Mayor Tom Tate.

Tickets are free and available from the HOTA Box Office or by phoning 5588 4000.

Seniors Week highlights include dance classes, over 60's social paddle-boarding, wellness talks, library workshops and more.
