Gold Coasters will gather at Home of the Arts (HOTA) on Australia Day to reflect, respect and celebrate the day with family and friends.
The City's free Australia Day event on Sunday 26 January from 4pm will be set up around the HOTA outdoor stage including live music, kids' entertainment, food trucks and a fireworks finale at 7:50pm.
"The 2025 Gold Coast Australia Day Celebrations are a chance for all Gold Coasters to come together and celebrate everything we love about our country," Mayor Tom Tate said.
"This is also a day where we welcome new citizens to the country with our Australia Day citizenship ceremony being held at HOTA.
"Join us this Australia Day to reflect, respect and celebrate our national day."
There will be live and local music from The Good Band, a local cover band featuring members from Cheap Fakes, The Dreams Band, and the ARIA Award-winning band George.
The powerhouse band is renowned for their eclectic mix of original songs and covers spanning all genres and decades.
The free kids' activities will include various sporting games and challenges like cricket, volleyball, basketball, street hockey and tennis, plus thong tosses and a 'Dress the Roo' inflatable kangaroo time challenge.
Food trucks will include HOTA's burgers, Japanese and Mexican cuisine, German sausages, fish and chips, classic ice creams, desserts, and snow cones.
Make your journey active and walk, ride, scoot or skate to the event. If driving your car is a must, consider carpooling.
